WOW, Is it really December already? Week 13 of the Daily Fantasy Football Season is here. Five more weeks to win the millionaire!
In general this fantasy football season has given entrants numerous low costing options weekly. It is as if the Draftkings algorithm is missing a few codes.
Off the top of my head, I can only think of one week in which the wide receiver position offered this much low costing value. That week produced more 4-5k range receivers that paid off. While week 13 has value in the 3-5k range. Which will allow for entrants to pay up at the running back position.
High costing running backs have owned the GPP slates in 2018. As I try to decipher lineup construction. I find myself making lineup after lineup of what should happen, what could happen and will the trends continue.
Kareem Hunt is now off the board, Saquon Barkley has a tough matchup and Todd Gurley may not be needed in the 2nd half. Christian Mccaffrey is $8800 and playing a Buccaneers team that has played better as of late. Joe Mixon is playing a hot Denver team and David Johnson plays for the lowest scoring team in the league.
Lets take a look at the plays and dart throws under 5k at the wide receiver position.
Week 13: Draftkings Wide Receivers ($4000-$5000)
Josh Reynolds $4900 – It a matter of which receivers get the points in this matchup @ Detroit. Rams coming off a bye and must win for homefield advantage should have the Rams put up 3 touchdowns in the first half. Reynolds is a good core play if you are playing 20+ lineups.
Donte Moncrief $4500 – Mr. Target in Jacksonville. Moncrief is the unquestioned number receiver who has mad the explosive plays for this disappointment of a team.
Dede Westbrook $4500 – On fire as of late. Playing a Jaguar receiver is a risk but these two guys will be low owned in GPPs.
Anthony Miller $4500 – Chase Daniel and the Chicago Bears spread the rock. Miller has touchdown upside in a good matchup.
John Brown $4400 – One play against a horrible defense will give a 3x return. Brown’s air yards are through the roof but with the quarterback change. Its a risk reward play.
Michael Crabtree $4400 – Touchdown upside along with Brown. The Ravens defense is stout but the Falcons at home could turn this game into something else. Matty ice with his back against the wall. Are the Falcons really going to run the ball against the Ravens? No, Matt Ryan will be slinging. Lamar Jackson may have no choice other than throw the ball.
Mohamed Sanu $4300 – Pivot to Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. Low owned.
David Moore $4300 – Doug Baldwin has only looked himself in one game. Moore cooled off after a hot start but that is more attributed to gamescipts. Russell Wilson is uber efficient this year and throwing the ball in the end zone like it was the Superbowl again. Except in 2018, Tyler Lockett and Moore are racking up the touchdowns.
Adam Humphries $4200 – Slot receiver good for at least 5 targets. The Panthers defense is susceptible to the big play and passing touchdowns. Numerous gamescipts lead to Humphries returning a minimum of 2x.
Taylor Gabriel $4200 – Targets have rolled back his way the past two games. Gabriel burnt me twice this season. Yet he will be in my lineups this week. Legggoo!
Courtland Sutton $4200 – Okay, this is the week he explodes. At $4200 and at the abysmal Cincinnati defense. Lock him again. Sutton has a higher floor than Gabriel but a lower ceiling.
Antonio Callaway $4100 – Is Baker Mayfield feeling dangerous? Big Play Callaway has played better of late. Tough matchup @ Houston. Callaway and Landry are pivots to Nick Chubb. Is Chubb really going to tear up the Texans? Unlikely but his volume keeps him a play. Callaway can find his way into your lineup if your doing 20+ lineups.
Quincy Enunwa $4100 – Why do I think this game will ruin the main slate? Vegas is usually on point with point totals. Oh wait, didn’t Dem Boys just outscore Who Dat 13-10? Yea, Jets receivers are in play.
Willie Snead IV $4000 – Snead is the slot man being used in the new RPO offense.
Jermaine Kearse $4000 – Slot man with a tough matchup. GPP dart if you wanta be contrary.
Seth Roberts $4000 – Slot receiver in garbage time.
