Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks Fantasy Football Outlook: Daily Fantasy Sports and League Play.
Alright, Alright in that Matthew Mcconaughey voice. Seattle Seahawks running Thomas Rawls isn’t playing tonight. That’s okay though considering the starters should be playing just the 1st half. Maybe come out for the 2nd half. Troymaine Pope looked good in week 2 of the preseason. Christine Michael has been performing since OTA’s and will continue too tonight. Still, Moon Man isn’t sold on Michael. Rather Moon Man already purchased not drafting Michael in Fantasy Leagues. Thomas Rawls is the starter week 1. Christine Michael makes a wonderful Daily Fantasy Sports play tonight. Troymaine Pope has potential if he gets touches tonight. Looks like a poor man’s Darren Sproles. Speaking of Darren Sproles.
C.J. Prosise is making his debut tonight in Seattle @ 10:00 p.m.(est.). Fantasy Sleeper ALERT! Point Per Reception Potential! Geez, so many options in Seattle with zero or little NFL experience. Enter week 1 the Hawks will be running with Rawls, Michael and Prosise on 3rd downs. Alex Collins and Zac Brooks are the other options in DFS tonight.
The Dallas Cowboys are without Dez Byrant for the remainder of the preseason. Moon Man likes wide receivers Lucky Whitehead and Brice Butler tonight. They both need more opportunities with the 1st team offense. Tony Romo is starting but might be pulled before the end of the 1st half. The Big Story in Dallas as if everything isn’t already Bigger in Dallas? The big story is Mr. Ezekiel Elliot making his NFL debut! A 1st round Fantasy Draft pick and 4th overall draft pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Hold on! Which NFL team drafted before Dallas this year? Oh yeah, the San Diego Chargers drafted defensive end Joey Bosa out of Ohio State. How did that work out? Not good considering the Chargers front office pulled their contract offer off the table today. The Chargers need Bosa amongst many pieces to be competitive in 2016.
On the other side of that. The Cowboys scooped up Ezekiel Elliot in hopes of reliving the 2014 NFL season. When DeMarco Murray led the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns with 1,865 (13 tds). The Boys offensive line looks great. Look for Elliot to get 12-15 snaps. Twenty snaps if things are going smoothly.
Jimmy Graham is Questionable when in reality he might not be ready until week 2 or 3 of the regular season. Jimmy is not needed in Seattle. Its the sad truth of a once prominent player in real life and in Fantasy World. Luke Wilson fills in nicely and is a wiley veteran. Luke’s fantasy value is irrelevant in League play but needs consideration in Daily Fantasy Sports. Being the #1 tight end in an offense that will put up points come week 1 couple with his low price tag for week 1.
As for the Cowboys tight ends. That’s a headache. Jay Witten to catch a 1st down tonight. That’s Moon Man’s bold prediction for the Cowboys @ Seahawks game.
Lets look back on Jimmy Graham’s marvelous tight end stats. To think the tight ends would be so deep in 2015 when that was not the case for quite some time.
2010
- 31 receptions – 356 yards – 5 tds.
2011
- 99 receptions – 1,310 yards – 11 tds.
2012
- 85 receptions – 982 yards – 9 tds.
2013
- 86 receptions – 1,215 yards – 16 tds.
2014
- 85 receptions – 889 yards – 10 tds.
2015
- 48 receptions – 605 yards – 2 tds.
Thinking back to when Moon Man drafted Jimmy Graham in the 5th and 6th rounds of Fantasy Football League Drafts 2011. Making sure to have him on the roster. Jimmy Graham performed to expectations. A few players who could perform in tonight’s game are Tyler Lockett, Jermaine Kearse, Kenny Lawler and Darius Jackson. With Doug Baldwin getting roughed up by Richard Sherman in practice and having to get stitches on his nose. Moon Man is staying away from him tonight. Cowboy’s running back Darius Jackson looks good in preseason and Lance Dunbar may be on his way out come September 3rd. When NFL teams cut their roster from 75 down to the final 53 man team.
As Always,
